Anyone like Orange?

Right now they are ridiculously out of my budget, but for future reference somedoay, ya know?...

Anyway, anyone have any experience with these guys? I was glancing at the AD30HTDC because it looks cool, and its a decent wattage, + a 2X12 cab or something...but yeah, anyways, anyone know if Orange is any good? Cheers

Well I only know the old 100 watts top, but I have heard very good things about the new ones.
The old where great amps at the least!
I think one or two forumites have some of their amps.

I have an Orange AD30 single channel head and love it

It's a great amp for the Indie/Rock stuff my band does, and it's also great for 70's Rock stuff too.

I've found alot of people have a love/hate relationship with Orange. You either like them, or you don't

They have a sound all their own, so if that sound works for you, all the better

The older Matamp/Orange stuff interests me.. like the Series 2000 that Peter Green used with KT88s. I'd really like to play one of those.

My son has a Rockerverb 50 and loves it. He tried out the Bad Cat Hot Cat, Shiva, and some others and chose the Orange. It is its own thing, he's only let me have it for a VERY short time. I found the reverb to be very touchy, nothing or way too much, don't know if this is peculiar to his or if it can be tamed somehow?? I'm sure I could get him to answer some specific questions if you have some.

I've got a Rocker 30 head. Sounds outstanding to me. Great Marshall crunch on the "dirty" channel and respectible Fender clean on the "natural" channel. Highly recommended.

I think Blues Saraceno has soundclips for Orange Amps.

We've got an AD30 in the studio and it gets a LOT of use. It sits in a pile with a Mazeratti, Top Hat Emplexador, Mesa Dual Rec, Marshall JMP, and some other odds n' ends. It probably gets more use than anything else for driving rhythm parts...

Although I have never played one. I love the sound these amps put out, a lot of my favorite bands use them.

Yeah i played a Strat with Kinmans through a ad30, i couldnt stand up for a few minutes due to being hard
