John Mayer's Mankini
I am thinking about doing this, and wondered if it was good times, bad times, or a little of both.

Good feedback, thank you. I have never used Line 6 for dirt - not because I don't like their drive / dist offerings, just that I haven't tried them.
Maybe I will hold on to my OD and Distortion even if / after I make the jump.
Although the whole point is to just have one thing on the floor.
How is their TS?
I think you should do it man... it really is a great unit. The modulation, verbs, and delays can be dialed in all nice n pretty like if you give it some time. My buddy runs an MXR Classic OD, Crunchbox, M13 into a slightly hairy AC30 and pulls off some great Circa Surviveish tones. The latest Thrice record was recorded with an M13 for delays, verbs, and compression. I think i recall you saying you liked those bands.
dont do it dude! ya, analog and reverb ok... but even that is gonna affect ur tone...analog4ever!!
Wait a minute! You mean if I buy everything approved by TGP, it WON'T make me play like *insert famous guitarist here*?!?
DAM IT!
You joke, but that's pretty much the realization I had
also I have never heard a digital modeler sound anything like my black arts pharaoh (muff variant) nor like my ratII proco. never heard a modeler sound like any type of fuzz pedal at all!!! not even axefxII...
I have no use for most effects, and I really dont like the line 6 wah compared to my jerry cantrell wah. I doubt their gate is as good as my decimator g string, but its safe to say it is pretty good.
also, my line 6 stuff died and I hate the line 6 service - just said it is impossible to fix, we wont allow you to use the software you paid for, so just spend $100s on new line 6 stuff (see my thread in the AMP FORUM)
