Hey guys,
A few weeks ago I ordered a Martin acoustic D15 in rosewood from musicians friend. When the guitar arrived, the spruce top was damaged. It was shipped in a hardshell case, but it looks like the UPS guy might have stacked boxes on top of it, pushing the bridge down and created a crack along the grain in the top and caused the top to come away from the sides near the lower bout.
Anyways, I immediately called musicans friend and told them I recived the guitar damaged, and they sent for UPS to come pick it up. They did, but now I have no guitar. The CS guy at musicians friend said I did not need a return auth number. Has anyone ever returned a damaged item to musicians friend? Did they give you a hard time, or was it easy? Should I be worried? I've had bad experiences with MF, but never hard to return a damaged item. Its been over a week now, and I have no idea what going on with my exchange.
