I really really love this guitar, its one of the easiest guitars for me to play. But compared to my hellraiser its VERY VERY bright and much thinner sounding, my hellraiser is almost too big and huge sounding even unplugged. The guitar is extremely clear sounding but the pickups don't match up well IMO, it needs some thicker pickups with a bigger low end. ANyone swap these pups out for anything else?

If your Hellraiser has EMG's I'd say use the same or a Distortion set. I had a C-1 classic with a Distortion set that was HUGE sounding.

Air Zone or Tone Zone and Air Norton?

[ducks to avoid rotten vegetables.]

How about a Custom/59 combo? Still too bright or not fat enough? Try an Invader or Custom Custom and APH2 combo.

my vote goes for the invader, while you might not like the look.

try dimarzio

*slammed with rotten tomatoes*

Na my hellraiser sounded thin and sterile with EMGs. I've had the distortion set in there, custom, mustaines etc. there is a JB and Jazz in it now and it sounds HUGE!!!

LOVIN the super rocks now!!! WOW these are some of the best pickups i've heard, just took some tweaking of the EQ compared to how i set it up with my other guitars :smack:

IT has the crunch of a custom, but without the bloated low end, much tighter, but also has bass for chugging, and is extremely clear at high gain and the best thing about it is leads are almost as good if not better in some ways than the JB. I heard these are similar to the Tom Anderson Dimarzio pickups, maybe i need to start trying some dimarzios if they sound this good!

THis schecter c1 exotic is an amazing guitar once set up right. I'm about to sell my ESP because it just rapes it for tone and clarity.

actually i'm ordering an air zone and air norton for my Hellraiser :)

Don't like the custom or the 59 neck, they've both been in my hellraiser.

I have an invader in my other guitar, nice pickup but i'm waiting for hex pole pieces to come in because there are aspects of the invader i do not like.

super rock pickups are made by schecter.

tom anderson and dimarzio are two separate companies.

if you want more fat and lows go for the original tom anderson H3+,you wont regret it.

supposedly anderson designed the Super Rocks for Schecter and its also what the USA schecters use i think.
