Anyone try the new Les Paul Gothic?

I'm wondering where it sits in terms of quality?

Pricewise it's cheaper than a regular studio but more expensive than a faded.

I want one, so I can put hot pink pickup rings and knobs on it, as well as a switch tip.

Re: Anyone try the new Les Paul Gothic?

I've got one of the old Gothics (the original run). It sounds good enough, but the reason its cheaper is because it's thinner than a standard or studio (I reckon about 2/5 - 1/2 inch), and the finish - while comfy on the back of the neck - is'nt really up to standards. It dents or scratches off very, very easily. Which is why mine looks like it's been on the road for quite a while (and I'm just a bedroom jammer).

I like the guitar, I just wish it had a the Gibson Pearl inlay instead of the cheapo gold silkscreen logo.
