Sorry to keep asking questions, but I have a Tele that is routed for Strat-type middle and neck pickups and was wondering what Strat pus would match an Antiquity (I) Tele bridge pu...maybe two Antiquity I Strat pickups? The guitar is a Tokai 62 Tele clone. I'm not sure what material the body is but I have an inkling it is sen ash.

I'm also toying with a JD bridge but I think an Ant would work a bit better for me.

Thanks!

Re: Anyone use Antiquities in Tele/Strat Guitar?

The pickups that Jerry Donahue uses with the JD bridge pickup are APS-2's. Excellant pickups, but not as chimey and vintage sounding as the Ant Surfers.

I have the Ant I Tele pickups in my Nocaster. They're brighter than the Jerry Donahue and not quite as thick and full.

I have a feeling the a5 Surfers would make a nice set with an a2 Ant I Tele bridge pickup.

Thanks, Lew!

I wonder if anyone here has tried the Ant II Tele pickups.

I have not. After trying the alnico 2 Antiquity, Jerry Donahue and Custom Shop Tapped Tele Hot bridge pickups, I decided that I prefer alnico 2 as the bridge pickup in my Teles.

I do prefer alnico 5 for the neck pickup though.
