Looks like one that I had in the early '80's. I only paid $100 for that one though.

Nope....that is not a Bassman that works well for guitar...unless you do stadium jazz gigs...clean all th way to 10...very good bass or keyboard amp...

thats not really true. its a fine pedal platform and many people use their amps that way these days.

I have a client who runs his bass through 2 of those Bassmans.... They sound good for a Fender Rhodes, too.

Id take it in a heartbeat proving that everything works as intended but I absolutely love Bassman’s in almost all of they’re various forms!!! Obviously an older model would be preferable but for $500 what do expect? I vote buy it & use it as a pedal amp or perhaps have it modded to give you a bit more early breakup?
