Vibroluxologist
First and foremost, I have given up on buying guitars. I just cant commit to anything but my number 1. I still love amps more than anything else in the gear realm, but even amps lose their luster after you have tried 75 plus of them over the years.
My last amp was my Champ that I built. It has become my main amp and one that I wont let slip away again. As awesome as it is having a Champ clone at my disposal as well as a vintage Vibrolux Reverb, I have felt a hole in my unique and quirky spot in the line up. I did some research and pulled from some past experience with a couple of vintage pieces I owned to discover how much I missed the tone of some particular amps I have owned in the past.
When I found a guy that had made a few of the amps I wanted, I contacted him and at first he said no, but later got back to me and said he found some old transformers that would work well for this build. I am about a week and a half into a 1 month wait and he sent me a chassis pic.
Let's see if you can guess what this is going to be. First person to guess right, gets a moldy cookie!
I doctored the pic a bit to hide it's identity:
