Hello everyone, I have an 06 PRS CE24 in which I am planning on putting APH-2 HBs (single conductor) in. Currently I have the PRS HFS/VB pickups (5 way rotary, 1 volume, 1 tone).
Assuming I am still keeping the 5 way, based on the info I gathered online and what I found out using a multimeter, I am planning on wiring in this way:
- Shield/braid to jack shield (this is how it is currently done with the PRS pickups)
- HB bridge black wire to PRS HB bridge white wire terminal (bridge HB in the 10 position)
- HB neck black wire to PRS HB beck black terminal (neck HB in the 6 position)
- Short the red wire terminals on the rotary ( to get parallel full pickup in 8/middle position)
Has anyone done this before? It seems like it should work. The coils will be shorted in the in between positions (7 and 9) which should be ok.
Do I even need to flip the magnet in my proposed config (since i am not using coils in series)?
Below are the PRS schematics and thanks in advance
