Apologies SDUG Forum, you have been Iceman'd...

KISS aside - the Iceman is just an Iconic guitar, up there with the Warlock and Bich.

I have to say - this thing plays like butter and sounds fantastic. I may need to make a little vid.

It certainly suits you. I suppose, that judging by what I own, I'm more of a double cutaway fan. But the LP, Cadillac and Iceman shapes all share a family resemblance.
Very nice.

An Iceman is one of most unapologetic rock designs out there. You just won't see any country or jazz guys playing an Iceman.

On ocassion, I hear people complain about Iceman fret access on guitar forums, but an Iceman's access is basically the same as a Strat (Fret 17 on topside and 21ish on bottom) and more access than an LP... (LPs are like 17 on top and 19/20 on bottom)

So unless you are talking SG territory or Paul Gilbert Iceman why is this brought up often on Iceman threads? Seems to be equal or better fret access than 95% of guitars.

Ace, Do you have any issue with this? -is it the thickness of the body contours perhaps and not the raw fret access number that gets people pointing this out?

BTW -I'd really like an Iceman

Well, I've been playing King of the Night Time World a lot the past few days. the 2nd solo has a high harmony line that is 17/19th frets. Not problems playing that.

Better access than my Cadillacs/Les Pauls, IMO. No idea what they are talking about whoever "they" is.

I wanna hear Lick It Up, or maybe even Hold Me, Touch Me (Think of Me When We're Apart).

I have just as ease of access to the upper frets on my Iceman as I do my LTDs and I have big hands. The cut away on the lower bout goes all the way back to the 22nd fret, to me thats pretty good access.

The wife requested Lick It Up, of all songs...

Hold Me, Touch Me - great tune. More likely to get Wouldn't You Like To Know Me.

Oh no, Ace, you've got another one to gas for. Excellent upper fret access, and according to KISS Paul Stanley videos, can be played like a violin.
