In my never ending drama of building up the Franklin 15, the combo cab finally got here. Shipping error delayed its arrival until yesterday.
I've got a deep maroon faceplate, amber pilot light and I really think I'm going to stain it a medium darkish shade called Rosewood. Maybe sprinkle a dab of rosewood oil on it just for smells!
I tested the rosewood stain and rubbed in, it looks pretty good. On the darkish side of things. I also bought some light oak, but it looks baby crap yellow. I've got a nice fat brown leather handle for it, white stiching. Creamish/whitish piping on a really cool looking grillclothe, kinda has a cane weave look to it, but it's actual cloth. Cool stuff.
Cream chickenhead knobs rounds out the look.
Now the nervous part.... drilling the holes for mounting the chassis! :scared: The chassis doesn't have wings, so I'm going to have to get some posterboard or something and make a template. Still a bit nerve wracking.
