APS-1/APS-1/Hades Gates

Removing my EMG set from my Schecter. Instead of reinstalling the stock pickups and electronics (which were really nice and sounded great), I thought I'd try a different setup. I have two APS-1 pickups and a Hades Gates Trembucker. I thought I'd dive that setup a go. I am using 250k vol/tone pots instead of the 500k pots that were stock. I think the APS-1's will sound better with 250k pots and the Hades Gates will be fine. I think the APS-1's would be too bright with 500k. Thoughts?

I do sometimes think that folks take the 250k/singles, 500k/hb'ers thing too literally. Experimentation is the key to what you like best. If you don't like it, a pot change, or switch, isn't all that difficult.

I'd go 250k all around as well.

i think thatll be a great set with 250k pots. if the bridge pup is a little too dull/dark remove the tone control from it
