Are alnico 5 magnets ever black?

I've been out of this so long I can't remember. I thought ceramics were black and alnico were gray.

I got a sh-14 on trade but the magnet is black and very strong. I think the tape is not factory either as it is along the sides.

This is not a problem because I was gonna turn it into a sh-5 anyways but I wanted to ask before I ordered magnets.

I've never seen a black A5. That's not to say that they don't exist, but it sounds like a ceramic to me.

Roughcast? I've had a few that aren't particularly pitted, and really dark, though still noticably different to ceramic.
