Are current production Lipstick SLS1 chrome or nickel covered???

A few months ago, I've ordered online a single SLS1 - lipstick Strat pickup.

Once mounted, it has appeared as nickel covered, while the stock bridge pickup in the guitar had a chrome finish. At least that's how it looks, even next to other chrome and nickel parts.

Now, the owner wants to swap the nickel pickup for a chrome one or conversely.

I'm unable to see what is the finish on SLS1's currently available online: some depictions say "chrome", others say "nickel" - and a computer screen can't give a reliable reply.

IF I order a nickel model, it has to be RWRP.

Does anyone have one of several recent SLS's at disposal to answer me?

Also: the Duncan specs say "AlNiCo 5" while I was sure that SLS1's include AlNiCo 6. WTF?

Thx in advance!

FOOTNOTE: has anyone already opened the tube and reversed its content to make a SLS RWRP? I'm accustomed to mod pickups but have never done that so I don't want to kill the thing...
