Simple answer bro, every piece of wood is different, but more important factors than weight of the guitar will play into whether or not it is good for a specific type of music (ie. pickups, bridge, wood type)

If heavy guitars are better for heavy music, I have a Telecaster body at home that will open up the Earth and expose Satan's fiery inferno. It's a solid 1 piece Purpleheart body that weighs, ALONE, with no neck, and no hardware, probably in the neighborhood of 15 pounds.

Yep, you can smash it over the front row of the audience (for more authentic metal atmosphere) and it'll still play as out of tune as before

Me too. But I delayed to get it so much. Finally I got passed my 30s and started liking strats.
