Are JCM2000, Vintage Modern and JMD discounted?

Re: Are JCM2000, Vintage Modern and JMD discounted?

couldn't agree more. tho the dsl's gain channels i feel are a bit more versatile. What tubes are you running in your tsl60?

EH 12AX7s and JJ EL34s. I need to swap out the power tubes at some point, those are still from the previous owner, and I plan on picking up at least one 5751 to try and take the OD channels, it's way more than I need/use. I had some Tung Sol 12AX7s and they were a bit smoother, but added even more gain. Those are now in my Single Recto.

I swapped in the eurotubes jj retube set in mine. The JJ E34L's are pretty bright tho, compared to the stock tubes. Would you agree with that? I hear really good things about the EH E34L's

I have noticed that it is pretty bright, That's partly why I have the EH preamp tubes in it. I may give the EH power tubes a shot when I have some spare cash.

IMO the jcm 2000's (both dsl and tsl) are eclipsed by the newer jvm....which is a much better amp. I never liked the 2000 series amps; I always thought they were Marshall's attempt at competing with the multi channel, high gain amps (like the Mesa's) that were becoming ever more popular. The vintage modern I thought was a really cool and under rated amp....one of the few newer Marshall's I have liked.

yup JVM is the flagship and makes the 2000 line redundant. Love my 210H, one of my fav amps that I currently own.
