Are The Duncan Designed Pickup Wires Color Coded The Same As Production Duncans?

Re: Are The Duncan Designed Pickup Wires Color Coded The Same As Production Duncans?

Yes but the mags are backwards, if you put a DD in the bridge with a USA duncan in the neck(or vise versa)it will be out of phase

This explains a lot. I often mix DD's and SD's in guitars and wonder why I have to change wiring to get it to work. Thanks for the info.

Odd, I just assumed the wires were reversed. (Black and green.) That's how they're installed in guitars they come stock in, and that's what the instructions read in a boxed Performer. (Green is hot, black is ground.)

yes but to make them uniform with the USA ones,
black=hot
white and red=together
green and bare=ground
i always flip the mags

I know this is a ridiculously old post but... If I have a pair of Duncan designed pickups can I just follow the normal duncan wire colours?
I'm swapping out the concentric pots from my jaguar hh and putting in push pull pots for coil split and was just planning on following the diagram on the sd website.
