Are the x2n and sh6 similar?

I was checking out the specs on both and they are close. Same magnet (ceramic) and similar voicings . Actually according to the tone charts the sh6 seems more trebly. Anyone use both or have played both in the bridge positions at 1 time? Neck will stay 59 on this axe as its not going to be used. Thanks

Not even close, plus the X2N puts out 510mv. X2N eq 6.5 treb, 6.5 mid, 5.5 bass and the DD eq 9 treb, 8 mid, 7 low. The DiMarzio hasa much more even EQ and is a crap load hotter. Hope this helped a bit.

i've got the x2n (ibanez rg320) and sh6 (gibson melody maker) as well.
they've got almost the same output (maybe the x2n is a little bit hotter) but the duncan has more treble and to my ears it sounds better and more natural.

Which, considering that a melody maker is generally a MUCH darker guitar than an RG, would make the SH-6 even brighter in comparison ;)

i like my DD in my schecter, i have a set. 1 drawback, sounds like crap clean in the bridge. Sweet as hell distorted.
