Are there tele reverse wound neck pups?

or are all of them reverse wound?

I think it would be an interesting middle pickup on a superstrat to yield some interesting 2 and 4 position humbucking sounds.

Re: Are there tele reverse wound neck pups?

I did it with an Alnico II rhythm, simply for looks. The guitar had a lot of chrome, and two solid chrome covered humbuckers (no holes) It looked fantastic, but otherwise I would have yanked it. I used the Alnico because it was the only one I had available at the time. It sounded dull and muddy, with a lackluster attack. It didn't offer anything good to the 2 and 4 positions. If I had kept the guitar I would have eventually installed the Duncan Vintage Stack. That should be a more articulate middle pickup, but it's hum-cancelling, so you would have to split it to cancel hum in 2 and 4 anyway. And I don't know if the top coil is RWRP for that matter.

My advice would be to try a really cheapo imported one first. They're usually bright and thin sounding, making horrible neck pickups but perhaps great middle pickups.

I don't think they are RWRP. The standard 52RI is not...I used the Nocaster bridge, THAT is RWRP and I get noise cancellation with the 52RI neck.
