Re: are these legit?
they would be the normal Blackouts the active AHB-1 type. No idea why AHB-2 blackout metal series didn't take off more because of their boost.
I would be careful. The only thing close to a red flag for these if they are knock offs is how thick those screws are. However someone who owns a metal covered set I'd love to shed some light as from far away it looks like those screws you get on Epiphones and cheap asian pickups. Where as the plastic covered Seymour Duncan blackouts, duncan designed , EMG and so forth use a thinner screw. It's such a difference you can feel it doing a side by side comparison.
One way they brought the price down is they are clearly skimping on the electronics.
the quick connect cables look off to me. But it's alright a 3 pin cable like that will work. I've figured it out more than once how they work. Chinese 3 pin dupont/servo cables are under 1$ each.
The pots look cheap, the kind of stuff you'd put on PCB. I hate the terminals like that on them. then again one Schecter Damien did use them. Either way go with any 25k pot as long as the nuts/washers go on properly.
it surprises me there is no capacitors included you'll need a 470nf (0.47uf) capacitor. Not 47nf (0.047uf) to get the most out of the blackouts as a typical EMG 100nf (0.1uf) capacitor won't cut enough frequencies.
the input jack looks fine, no idea what kind of battery clip they went with. The hard plastic ones from China like TC Electronics pedals use are my favorite when I used to modify pedals.
Seeing as Korea makes guitars for a ton of companies there are some possibilities. Schecter, Dean, BC Rich, LTD and so forth have all came out of there are a few off the top of my head. Now googling it DHGate copies usually come with cables that EMG uses/used.
the ears on the pickup being made of metal. As are the legit ones
the stickers look right
if they are copies they actually did their home work not like the garbage copies of EMG everyone would bring in from their DHGate chibsons I'd be swapping out for real ones.

Hopefully they are legit the last thing I got out of Korea was super 5 way switches and they are fantastic. The guy I'm thinking of had a bunch of CTS pots and all for really great prices too.
