I am, but not for the traditional reasons. In my case, it's because I get to see the ill-gotten gains I've been gradually stacking up back in the UK whilst I've been out of the country. So far, this amounts to:

A Devi Ever Bi-Fuzz I got from TLD
A Black Arts Toneworks Black Forest
A Malekko LoFi Ekko 616 from fleabay
A BYOC Analog Vibrato kit
A DryBell VibeMachine

I'm still considering some others though; a Sun Face and a Mooer ElecLady are all under consideration right now.

So what are you looking forward to for the festive season?

I'm also considering a Sun Face although I may get another Keeley Fuzz Head.. I didn't realise how much I liked it until I got rid of it. Other than that I will just be happy to relax with the family.

Hopefully the chain importing/selling Orange amps in Sweden will have their 10% off of everything sale in the days between christmas and new years. That's the time for me to strike!

X-Mas break plan:

- fixing my old Ensoniq Mirage (still the best feeling keyboard for me)
- for fun, composing something for C64 with my fellow Hermit's new SID tracker, SIDwizard
- finishing Mass Effect 3
- finally, having at least one day with 10 hours of sleep. No computers, recording gear or guitars touched.

Generally I'm not a huge fan of it, but this year is the 1st with our adopted son, so yeah, I'm really looking foward to it.

As for X-Mas, I hope to have my Esquire assembly done for myself by my birthday, which is a few days before X-mas. I will have been slowly gathering parts and working on it for almost eight months by then. I'm almost done finishing the body.

Then it's on to a Tele build as a surprise b-day (June 21) gift for my old shipmate Ray in North Carolina. He's pursuing a country music career, but all he has are acoustics. Every country picker needs a good Tele! I think I'm gonna try to do a Tele similar to one of Gibson's Platinum series guitars for him, and put on a custom decal with his name on the head. He is a IIIrd, so that'll make the decal look extra cool, with the III at the end of it.

I actually like the holidays more now because when I was a kid I was just like... PRESENTS!!! ... hehe... now I just like the few weeks leading up to Christmas, seeing all my family, eating good food, etc. And I like that more than presents. ;)
