Are you thinking what im thinking

Re: Are you thinking what im thinking

i cant imagine this would work...are you trying to stop standing waves, make things quieter or correct some audio problems for critical monitoring?

Dude, Station Night Club Fire....God Bless their Souls :17:

I live like 20 mins from that.........why did that have to happen???! WHY!

Re: Are you thinking what im thinking

wow i actually remember that now i remember seeing a home video from a fan + 1 for everyone that brought that up, who was the moron that okayed flames fireworks indoors

is regular studio foam flame retardant if its not too bad price wise ill probably just get studio foam its just that i saw it and it sparked up assosiative thinking, its for vocals

Just for deadening a room? (is "deadening" a word?) That should be cool. But again, the flammability issue- you never know what can set it off, it doesn't have to be something stupid or monumental as fireworks. Too close to a lightbulb, someone smoking, an amp overheating...

Re: Are you thinking what im thinking

ok this is how i think its gonna go, inside a closet without lights with just a microphone and its gonna be glued on with silicone sealant(used at the corners of fish tanks) whoah that is either ghetto or extremely resourceful

Re: Are you thinking what im thinking

just hang some fabric on the walls for a deadened sound...studio foam is made to fix audio problems in a room, not to isolate it...a small closet is a pretty dead sound already though.

what would you recommend for quieting a small room for loud band practices?

1. Play quieter
2. Fill the room with stuff (couches, chairs, pillows, etc..)
3. Make the room air tight (seal doors, windows, etc)

Really, the way big studios do it is to isolate the room from the foundation (most low frequencies travel through the floor)

my friend went to a studio and the drum room was suspended kind of like that room in xmen that magnetto is in on

and the glass is like this l/l

as far as amps go they have foam yo can put cabs on and it isolates the sound somewhat i did that with my computers sub and it works well

also interesting my first apartment had pine wood walls and i put the head of my electric against the wall the vibration would turn the room into an amplifier
