LOVE THE TONE!

The pickups on the left are brighter to my ears, the pickups on the right are heftier.

Forget the pickups, I want the AMP!

You da man

LOL :D Yeah ... I really like the amp ... still can't believe that I built it.

The Strat-style guitar is the only one of my five electric guitars that I have not completely gelled on the new D'Lite amp. I was initially disappointed with the Dimarzio Areas but I think I'm finding what I want now. It has taken some work but I'm beginning to feel satisfied. Lot's of work with heights, presence, mids, treble and bass on the guitar ... even the "treble pass" values on the volume pot (but I ended up where I started anyway).

I have really worked with these pickups. They have come in and out several times over the past few weeks.

The bonus is they are noiseless and that is a great thing ... quieter than regular humbuckers I think.

I think I'm getting more musical sounds out of the Areas, although the Legacy pups still "feel" more comfortable ... starting to get used to them ... I think.

I like my Schecter with the SD Vintage Stacks with this amp ... but I run them split most of time ... the shielded Tele is just quieter than the shielded Legacy ... don't know why. :33: I did find a loose ground that helped though.

I agree. It's like the 58's have a little more sizzle and the Legacy's are a little thicker (Believe DM did a really great job here). But it's very very subtle on my laptop. I can't decide which ones I prefer, but your tone rules. Gives us the amp!

when i had the 61 in the middle pos of my ibanez rt450 it sounded terrible, but i decided to hold onto it and i dropped it in my silvertone and it sounds freaking awesome. By the way sweet tone...

Wow.... both sound fantastic.

The tone and playing are great, and that's the best way I've ever heard pickups compared. VERY cool :)

Thanks guys ... still working with the DMZs ... they are pretty good. Playing live a bit now and wondering what the G&Ls would be like ... tempted to flip again and see.

Naah ... leave the Areas in there ... still satisfied ... and dead quiet. :approve:
