Aren't all Antiquity buckers signed by Seymour.

Re: Aren't all Antiquity buckers signed by Seymour.

I've got an SH-55 that's signed by Seth Lover and Seymour, but I don't know anything about the Ants.

Re: Aren't all Antiquity buckers signed by Seymour.

He signs every one at least twice, and the hang tags. Although sometimes it may not look like his name, he does in fact sign every single one!

Why do you ask? Is someone claiming to have one, but missing the signature?

Re: Aren't all Antiquity buckers signed by Seymour.

Some unsigned supposed Ants popped up on ebay yesterday or the day before.

I have clashed with that particular seller before. Do not buy.

those are just printed on the baseplate not actually signed. Seth died in '97.

anyway, all the ants i have are signed by seymour(with a felt pen) including the magnets.

Re: Aren't all Antiquity buckers signed by Seymour.

Hey guys, newbie here. I did some investigating on these pups, the ones on ebay, unsigned. I had Brandon, from SD tech help, look at those pups. He said that the pups are Custom Shop made, with an Antiquity wind and with chrome covers vs. aged covers. So technically they are'nt Ants because of the chrome covers, so no signature. If you look closely at the stickers, they do say Custom Shop. Could the stickers be forged, or removed from other pups, and then just stuck on there?? I hope this helps some. Happy Holidays, Take care, Gary

Re: Aren't all Antiquity buckers signed by Seymour.

You could get that same thing floor custom IIRC. Dude certainly didnt pay Custom shop price for that. The only difference is with a chrome cover instead of nickel. If anything, that should cost the same as an Antiquity or a hair less.

I dont know why it would have the Custom shop sticker on it? Maybe Falbo will chime back in?

Hey T, what's floor custom IIRC mean?? Anyway, I'm trying to get ahold of MJ, maybe she can shed some light, Take care, Gary

Floor Custom is a stock pickup with a very slight change that can be made w/o having to go through the Custom Shop, they cost the same as the stock version of said pickup but there is a wait for them.

Example would be if you wanted a Jazz JB set w/o a SD logo or if you wanted an Alnico II Pro set with SD logo's, a potted Seth or a 4 conductor 59...these are all examples of Floor Shop Custom pickups. As far as I know there is no Floor Shop Custom ability on Antiquities...I coudl be wrong but I am under the impression that even the slightest change in an Antiquity will cause it to have to be full Custom Shop and the price is $160 or so each.

I just talked to MJ, everything matches up with a Custom Shop pup, including NOT having a serial #. There is an " A " on the sticker also, indicating Antiquity wind. She wants to see close up shots of the back of the pup for a determination, as she is concerned about the price point the guy is selling them at. I'll keep you guys posted if I find out any more info, Take care, Gary

WoW! I want to buy an antiquety pickup now just so I can have a pickup signed by the man himself! I have been using SD pickups since the first mod I ever made, and now they are all I use! Now what I really want is a signed Quater Pounder P-Bass pickup!!!
