Argh my Jazz neck is really a Jazz Bridge

Re: Argh my Jazz neck is really a Jazz Bridge

My MJ-era Bridge is 7.2 , my old neck is 7.0 (same meter & time.)

Then you got 2 neck pickups.
Its impossible with the amount of turns on the jazz bridge to have that low resistance with the wire gauge used.

My early to mid 80s MJ Jazz are 6.9-7.2k neck @21c and 7.95-8.25k

Here it is. The previous owner scribbled the DCR on the baseplate but for me it measures less.

I'm inclined to think the 7.75K reading marked on the back of the pickup is probably closer to true than what you got with your own meter.

I'll have to check the cable. I wouldn't be surprised if both the Jazz bridge and neck are not getting accurate readings from my meter (7.0 is low for a Jazz neck) ; however they still measured within 0.2k DCR of each other.
