Arion Tubulator clip

Finally got myself a mic stand and can position a mic better. I used a tripod before:laugh2: This is the H&K on half gain and the arion as a clean boost. It has some top sizzle, probably a little too much, but some amp EQ will take care of that super easy.

I got one of those bad boys myself.

Unbeleivable for the price seriously. I have not found a style of music that it wont work with.



I actually push an SD-1 super overdrive INTO my tubulator and its great (not shown in my signature pic). The tubulator is the best way I've found so far to mimic power stage distortion in a totally solid state rig.


I dont know if that applies to you LoL but Im still curious, have you run yours in the loop?






Funny you mention that about mic placement, right now, I'm using my old roommates bass guitar stand as a means for mic placement LoL. Its just the right height

It sounds dark and full, but you're right, the top end sizzle is just a little too much. Maybe in a full mix it would work? By itself though you can tell. Cool pedal!

I did run it in the loop and it was awful. Sounded very stuffy plus I hear running an OD in the loop is a bad idea.

I like the sound... my old too-many-concerts ears can't hear any sizzle through these little speakers I have here at work.


Your setup for the Tubulator is exactly the same as mine. I also have the gain set at half on my amp, but I don't get the same meaty sound you do - but then, I am playing through a Crate powerblock :eek13: I have other pedals that give me more meat. I like the sound I'm getting through the Tubulator for certain songs.

Edit: Wow! I just noticed that this pedal is going for $29.99 now. Glad I got it for $9.99
