ART Guitar Preamp?

Hi all,

I was reading about a guy who recorded an album that I am into. He says that for some lead parts, he used an ART preamp that was solid-state, came out in the early 90's, and had no effects. Anyone know what it might be?

I got on their site (artproaudio) and looked at discontinued products, nothing there. Email not answered yet, and I thought I would run it by here.
