Art Of Tone Deluxe Wring Kit. Has any one tried these?

I am in the process of doing some mods on an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top. New bridge and tailpiece (Tonepros) new pups (SD Alnico Pro II's) and I was thinking about a pot, switch, cap, and wiring change also. I've looked at Guitar Electronics, WD, Stewmac, and The Art Of Tone. The Art Of Tone wiring kit is not only the least expensive of the four, but their components seem to be more vintage spec'd and better as well. For under 60 bucks you get four CTS custom spec'd 525K pots 10% tolerance, two NOS .022uf 10% tolerance paper in oil caps, one Switchcraft 3-way toggle, one Switchcraft 1/4" jack, 5 feet of vintage-style braided shielded wire, 1 foot of vintage-style 7 strand pre-tinned 22 awg cloth push back wire. The other 3 companies want 65 to 75 bucks, their pots are 20% tolerance and they offer the .022 Sprague orange drop caps instead of the pio's, not that cap material makes any difference. Does anyone have any advise?

My understanding is that the cap itself isn't in the signal path, and my experience is that the type of cap doesn't really make an audible difference.

IMO you don't need to spend anywhere near $60 on those parts - if you aren't going to do any unique wiring (push-pull coil split or series/parallel) you can get all of the same parts for around $20. Sprague orange drop caps are cheap too, so if you're really concerned you can get those without too much extra expenditure.

I mean, it's your money. Spend it how you want. If it were me I would just go ahead and get the parts individually and save mucho dinero.

Thanks for the advise. I'm not doing any coil splits on this guitar. I tried out a Les Paul with split coils at GC, Didn't really like it. The only single coil that sounds good in a Les Paul, to me, is a P90. Besides I have two partscasters, one strat and one tele deluxe, both of those guitars are equipped with coil splits in the bridge pup. I guess I'll look around for the pots and caps. Do you know where I can find These upgrades? I know that cap material has no affect on tone so the orange drops are fine.
