ARTEC ADL2 & SE-ADL (analog delay..?)

I'm pretty sure, the SE-ADL is digital.

But is the ADL analog?

Also, they used to be available online, but when I do a search, I can't find any. Are they still selling this in the USA?

the only true analog delay i know of for under $40 is the Behringer VD400. The rest are all analog voiced digital chips. If i remember right the artec is no different.

Re: ARTEC ADL2 & SE-ADL (analog delay..?)

wow how did behringer made this so cheap? are they using BBD's on the delays?

anyway, do you guys think, the Artec ADL2, would soung a lil bit Hi-fi compared to a real analog delay?

im just looking for cheap analog delay, not a analog voiced delay. the behringer might be worth the shot.

also the delay from belcat? forgot the model name.

anybody also hear anything about the old ARIA AD-10? is this also analog or analog voiced?

Re: ARTEC ADL2 & SE-ADL (analog delay..?)

its a circuit clone of a Boss DM-3. BBD yes, all of their recent boss style pedals are SMT conversions done onthe very cheap in china. But if you are careful with them they will last. I love my sisters VD400 I may pick one up if i dont get a Malekko soon.

Re: ARTEC ADL2 & SE-ADL (analog delay..?)

there was a new one at NAMM the 616 model I believe. looks to be a MXR Carbon Copy killer. street price is said to be less than a 300B. I wanna check that one out. but i was planning on a 600B. the dark models are too darn warm IMO.

dang they are having a new one! nice, when you said carbon copy killer, do you mean that it has the same features of the MXR (modulation option)

i also remember that MF used to sell the Arion SAD-3 dirt cheap, and i believe these were stereo analog delay.

oh by the way, where did you sister buy her VD400? if ever, where do you plan to buy yours?

Re: ARTEC ADL2 & SE-ADL (analog delay..?)

a ebay seller for $28.88 shipped for the vd400.

yeah it has switchable modulation and a few neat settings.

Yeah the sad-3 was $20 at MF once during a closeout. and i passed on it for a tubalator.

Re: ARTEC ADL2 & SE-ADL (analog delay..?)

i love my tubulator!! (obviously from my avatar) got it at MF for a closeout deal for 9.99USD =)

well, thanks brian! ive been hearing vd400 clips all day. it does have that clug clug delay tone (instead of the argh argh) of a DM-2

i think i'm considering the vd400 over the SE-ADL

it does have trimpots inside so you can tweak it some to oscilate or have more time.
