i went to a local music store i had never been to before today. i saw this strat hanging above the counter. i thought "man i wish i could play that". i asked what kind of strat it was. he told me it was a 1982 '57 reissue. then he asked me if i wanted to play it. I AM NOW IN LOVE WITH VINTAGE STRATS!!!!!!!!! a couple guys in there came over to watch me play. i love... this.... guitar.... maaan o man :32: ahh i am stil drueling over it. 1300 bucks, (really not bad), but i'm starting think... i'm about to get my license... SCREW THE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it had an alder body with a maple neck. low output pickups rule. i can't even describe the feeling i got playing this guitar. if you play some really high notes then work your way down to low E, its AMAZING. you get this creamy cry playing high notes and the low notes just ball. it was crying...! driven, wow. i always thought low output pickups didn't pick up pinch harmonics very well, but they just sound different, i LOVED it. ahh... you guys i think im gonna cry (again, i almost was at the store)....

I NEED

THIS

GUITAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I felt the same way the first time I played my 58 Reissue Les Paul. In fact, I'm going to shut down my PC right now and go play it! :)

Maybe they'll take layaway. Maybe you can go to work for them after school. ask the guy how long it would take for you to work off the guitar. You never know, he might be looking for someone to help out with a few things. It's worth a try.

well, join the crowd :D

but, $1300??? sounds a bit high to me for an '82! I don't know for sure, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

new ones are 1300. is 82 considered vintage now?

if it's a helluva player, maybe it's worth the price of a new one. depends on the shape as well.

I feel ya bro. Its easy to fall in love with a good Strat.

I hate to bust your bubble but an '82 reissue is not a vintage strat. Try a real vintage strat from say '57 thru '62. You will be saving your money I guarantee it!!!

who cares, it's a reissue of a vintage guitar. still a kick ass guitar. and your telling me i could get a real strat from '57 to '62 and i would be saving my money??

OK....
