Ash Strat Advice

HI-
Any recommendations for addding a humbucker to an ash ESP strat? My options include a LIL 59 or a full size JB Or CC. I play all styles but want the beef in the bridge when playing high gain. I play an all tube Pevey XXX and like early EVH tones.

I put a CC in mine and it matches very well. And does VH nicely. I had a JB in it for a while it is great too but a little bright in my ash guitar. I am thrilled with my CC

I had an ash bodied Charvel and that was the only guitar I ever liked a JB in. It smoked in that guitar, especially in parallel.

The CC will do the Van Halen tone like a champion. I actually had a custom shop EVH and the CC was very simiilar in tone to the EVH.

Ash can be so bright, I would go with the CC. The JB has an upper mid spike that I am not crazy about, although I'm sure in the right guitar it's a winner.
