Atari guitar - wiring question on Invaders

HI everyone... so I'm almost ready to wire up the Atari guitar and I am looking through my switch options. I have a few 3-way and 5-way blade switches coming, but I also found a brand new 4-way Tele switch already in my possession. My question is... what would the advantages be of using the 4-way for 2 humbuckers?

It is an Ibanez guitar and I am installing 2 Duncan Invader humbuckers. Would I be able to split or run the pups out of phase? I couldn't find any easy wiring diagrams. No specific sounds I'm looking for - just had the switch here and thought it could work. Thoughts?

The 5ways with splits and phase and other unexpected results in pos 2 and 4 are with proprietary Ibanez switches

When I read Atari guitar with Invader pickups, I thought it was a joke post.

But I am holding off wiring right now - I ordered a kill switch which should look amazing on the guitar - the question is to replace the tone knob with the kill switch or add the switch as a third hole. If I just replace the tone knob I might do a volume with coil-split push-pull.

OK, I got the kill switch. It is a three-pronged switch with two prongs the same size and one prong that is longer. I assume the longer one is the ground. Any ideas on how to wire this if I only use a volume knob? The switch didn't come with wiring diagram and the ones I find online tend to have different number of lugs. Plus, these were not labels - just A, B, and C.

I feel about kill switches the way most of this forum has always felt about wah pedals. Even with an Invader, I'm really into rolling back the volume knob on a high gain sound, and like having a tone knob for varying the warmth of the "clean" sound.

I would wire it so both a series and parallel combo of split coils is an option. My PRS CE24 has each humbucker in series (normal wiring), plus 3 parallel/series split combos, and all 5 are awesome. This is obviously a YMMV situation, but parallel humbucker and two humbuckers in parallel (in phase) are among the most worthless options for me. If the two hums in parallel is out of phase, but has separate volume knobs so the degree of phase can be adjusted, I do like that, however.

Thanks - it was more about the theme of the guitar than true usefulness. It turned out good. The Invaders are harsh - but sound surprisingly nice without gain.

Use your multimeter, one pin is normally open and one is normally closed. Wire the normally open pins across the volume output and ground lugs. When it is not pressed the switch is open, when it is pressed it grounds the output, killing it.
