Attention people who can sing...

I've finally started really working on my voice. I *think* I'm figuring out how to "open" my throat, as I can sing a lot longer, and it sounds a lot better.

The other day, I noticed how much easier I can sing stuff that's capoed at the 2nd or 3rd fret, namely a bunch of Cure or Barenaked Ladies stuff. Seeing how I don't really have a high voice, what's the deal with that?

The higher up in pitch you go, the harder it is to hear the warbles in notes, thus making it sound better .

This makes sense, but it's a HUUUUUUUGGGGGGE difference. I haven't spent a whole lot of time figuring out what key any specific songs are in, but I bet they're all the same, and the capo thing is a coincidence.

Well I'll find that even though I have a deep voice I can go pretty high. I'm not even struggling with certain highs. I kinda feel in the zone. Whereas I have to concentrate more to get really low cause I have to get some air really going through the vocal tract to really push it out. Maybe you just have some good range JB.
