Correct. It's hard to find reviews though...
Got one and clips to boot! Man, the power scaling sounds a lot better, especially as you keep adding attenuation.

Re: Attenuator vs Power Scaling Kit

You don't by chance work for them do you? Don't you have the same thread at Plexi palace? 400.00 smackers installed plus it looks a bit invasive, better sound perfect... To have to do that to each of my heads is just not worth the bucks, my Weber at gig volume is great and I run my amps wide open in the studio so I know where the differences lie tonally and honestly at gigging level it just isn't that much. At lower levels sure ( below 3 ) but I can't see spending the cash for the benefits lower volumes. I paid 160.00 or so for the Mass that works with all my heads vs 400.00 a pop for each amp, I just don't have the disposable income to do it.

I'm eternalquest on the Marshall site and no, I don't work for them! I agree that if you have a lot amps, this ain't worth it, and I'm certainly reticent to such an invasive mod. However the results seem to be very good - check out the clips at http://www.bruceclement.com/music/psk.htm - but again this is not common practice and who knows how it could turn out in each case. I think I'll stick with the Air Brake I'm getting next week and play it by ear, and hopefully I don't have to resort to too much attenuation for my needs (as you say, live should be OK).
