Hey guys I just downloaded Audacity (Reason doesn't support third-party plug-ins). Does anybody know how to add them to Audacity?

Reaper is pretty much the best thing to use for an affordable/free DAW. It was when I was using it anyway. Things may have changed because I've been using fancy expensive ones for the past few years. Can you not still download a functioning version of Reaper for free? That was the case at one point.

I can and did but it's a 60 day trial. I don't want to have to keep redownloading it. I'm gonna try it out and if it is as good as everyone says, $60 for a DAW isn't that bad. It would stop me from spending that money on a stupid video game.

After 60 days you get a nag screen asking you to pay. Technically you could use it for free for as long as you want.
I bought it a few years ago and get a free upgrade to 5.0. Well worth it, as my license seems like it will be good for 6 years.

I like the synths available in Reason Essentials (even the Line 6 VST's are awesome) but third party VST support is almost a requirement anymore. Propellerhead should fix that.

Amplitube mostly. My POD HD 500 and amp combo sounds great and all but I also live in an apartment and I hate being rude to my neighbors when I wanna rock out and it's night time. So having a PC that I can plug into and jam along with is great for me. But there are other plug-ins that I wanna use. DaHornet is one of the best free synth plugins I'm told and it sounds good so far through Reaper. I haven't played with it too much though.
Amplitube mostly. My POD HD 500 and amp combo sounds great and all but I also live in an apartment and I hate being rude to my neighbors when I wanna rock out and it's night time. So having a PC that I can plug into and jam along with is great for me. But there are other plug-ins that I wanna use. Also its cheap for home users. Only sixty bucks and it is every bit as good if not better than the usual suspects like protools or cubase. It can also run any plugin etc you can think of. It rocks amplitube seamlessly.
Ive only just downloaded it to replace cubase and did a test run today and managed to knock together a song in short time. I knocked this out his afternoon just to get a feel for the menus and functions and stuff. I reckon i will be able to be quite productive with this software. Apologies if its real rough. I just did first takes and kept going. The aim was just to get the software going and get a feel for it.

I got Reaper and Amplitube working right now, but I'm home and don't have a guitfiddle on hand to play, so I'm just messing around with it mostly. Reaper's interface is super easy to learn which I love. Amplitube is a great product. I got the iRig Pro and got a ton of effects and such with it, so it's definitely worth getting IMO. Great audio interface for my purposes, plus midi and mic support will come in handy if I can start getting this prog thing to take off.

also....download the LAME.dll so you can encode your recordings as mp3s. You just download the .dll and drop it into your C:Windows/System32 folder.

I recommend that if you haven't downloaded Bias yet, get the free version to try. You won't be disappointed. If you find you need more amps than the ones you have modeled, that's fine, but I think the ones they've included are more than enough. Plus being able to change out preamps, tubes, tone stacks, and cabs will give you very different amps. There's other parameters but it's a great VST to have as well.
