how would they sound hooked to a uni? what should they be loaded with. im thinking either 4x12 or 2x12. how much should they cost'
sorry i'm a total newbie compared to everyone on this forum. i'm also 14 but i should be somewhat knowledgeable

If you saw me, you would NEVER suggest spandex, which my old algebra teacher invented. Shows you how old I am.

I take it you mean a Univalve? Avatar makes great cabinets. They give you terrific bang for the buck. I know, I've had a 2X12 and a 4X12. Contact Dave at Avatar as he sells them and can recommend the best speaker cab and speakers to go with that unit.

Well, the 2x12 I have is closed and came with V30's. Great cab with all my small amps (Blues Jr, Tweed Deluxe Head, 5w Supro amp, Epi Valve Jr Head, etc) and with the bigger 100W heads or amps.

I love my 2x12 - sounds better than my old Rivera 4x12.

Whle a 4x12 looks impressive, it's often overkill for most of us. Get a nice 2x12. I've owned an Avatar closed back 2x12 and thought it was a good value.
