Avt150h

I bought a used Marshall AVT150H yesterday. I was wondering what cab I should get. I know the AVT cab makes sense but at the Marshall website it says "For an even more imposing set-up, the AVT150H can drive standard 1960 4x12" cabinets." Should I get the 1960 or AVT cab? Does anyone own these? Thank you.

Re: Avt150h

I'd be really interested in your likes and dislikes (if any) about that head. :) How you like the different distortion options and how that scoop switch helps or changes the tone? I heard that head thru a JCM 900 cab and it sounded huge!

Thanks,

Jon

Re: Avt150h

Whatever you do,

DON'T BUY THE MATCHING AVT CABINET

The speakers are condesned and crowded in the cab, and the sound quality is very subpar. Trust me, I made the mistake.

I recommend something with Vintage 30's. I didn't like it as much through the Greenbacks, not as pure.

Everybody says Avatars are the best bang for the buck cabinets out there. I've never heard anybody complain about their purchase. It seems like a pretty safe bet to me.

I'm pretty sure Randy Rhoads used them. Something about sounding clearer when pounded with distortion...

Re: Avt150h

id get a Marshall 1960A cab, or an AV depending on your taste, its worth the extra money over the crappy AVT cab, beleive me, ive tried.
