Okee dokee.......Fantastic sounding bass. It sounds just like what I was wanting. I haven't had a P/j bass in my arsenal in 20 some odd years. It sounds just like I wanted, and even better. However, the big fat giant spacing of the frets threw me for a loop for a minute there. They threw me straight back to Christmas of 1984 when I got my very first bass ever. It was a Fender Precision. Anyways, the spacing on these is just the same, and that totally f'd me up for a few, but it has a 16" radius like I like, so that's cool. All of the punch at I remember from having a P/J bass is still there. Not much overpowers the other. Everything has a "punch", and I'm down with that.
I'm down with my other bass guitars for what they do as well, but it's nice to hear this tone again after some 20 or so odd years.
I'm all kinds of buzzed farting around here, but I guess it's better than nothing.

Well sunny beach! ... he's gone and gone all classic/ vintage on us.
Fur as the Piano tone, I wunce went looking for a description of "piano tone". I think I found it when guy neamed Kris Klien explained it to me. I think he saoid something about balanced tone but his description was very sensible , I wish I still had that email. I might contact him again and ask again( but he tends to be petty dodgy IMO).
...'bout the only safe description is that it sounds like a Piano, which is a circular argument, but the piano at it's best ,sounds of course, beautiful, but you have to be familiar with the tone...some of the best Strats have that quote-unquote piano tone.
