Babicz FCH Bridges?

My question is simple, has anyone had a chance to use one of these bridges? I am very interested in putting one of these on my Telecaster to not only give me a more modern look, but also solve the issue I have of the Ashtray style bridge being uncomfortable to palm mute on.

Re: Babicz FCH Bridges?

I have 4 of them on my guitars one of which is an incredible Tele. Cannot say enough good things about how well they work. I have installed 4 others on guitars and any guitar I get that they have a bridge that fits will get another. 5 stars 2 big thumbs up ! Here are 3 of them

Re: Babicz FCH Bridges?

Thank you for showing me your guitars, the bridges do look beautiful, may I ask what benefits have you found that adding these bridges have added to your guitars?

Re: Babicz FCH Bridges?

All of them are more resonant first off , better it sounds unplugged better it will sound with electricity. A Babicz is very adjustable you can do the whole 12" radius thing and match your fretboard or not. Once it is intonated and setup you lock all of the adjustments and it is finished. Set and forget not like a TOM with the screws moving and changing the action or the saddles going crappy and getting grooves cut into them changing the intonation requiring a new saddle etc. Here is one that has been in action for a good 6 or 8 years(no clue on time been years) never been touched or changed once it settled Improved the sound of all 8 guitars I have installed these into, that is 100% but it is just my opinion and I certainly am wrong about most everything. Still you can ask Big Flannel after he comes over and gets to test one out.He is most likely smarter than I am and will have an unbiased opinion.

Palm muting is one of the main reasons I bought the Babicz. I have one on my Tele and one on my Strat. Without a doubt I will be putting one on my next build. Here is a review I did of the Tele bridge.

Re: Babicz FCH Bridges?

Direct replacement for the same bridges BloodRose they make many models and all are just a swap in and out. They do require a bit more work in the setup department because of the additional variables added to them but once finished it is done and over. Nice someone else on this forum likes the Babicz , nice review Securb.

I have one on my P-bass... works a charm. Very resonant, set and forget.

Re: Babicz FCH Bridges?

I have several. Love em. They also have great customer service. I called with a question a few years ago and Jeff Babicz himself answered the phone. Great guy. More than helpful.

Am I the only one who finds these things ridiculously ugly while at the same time being awed by the simplicity and elegance of the functional design?

Re: Babicz FCH Bridges?

I kinda wish they didn't have BABICZ scrawled across them in 40pt Bold, but past that... Meh. I'll take function over form (but applaud something that excels in both).

I think they look great. Very Bauhaus as far as the form and function aesthetic.

Re: Babicz FCH Bridges?

Do they have hardtails? I'd like to put something new on my Godin, and I can't afford a Stetsbar.

EDIT: yes, yes they do!

Yep. Hopefully the design will continue to be refined. Its a heck of a concept.

great concept, for sure.

but they're so huge and elephant-like. And the logo is ugly and obnoxiously large. maybe if they used smaller cams it wouldn't look so large.

Re: Babicz FCH Bridges?

I haven't tried, but I bet you could rub that logo off with a little toothpaste.

Re: Babicz FCH Bridges?

turns out it's laser etched or somesuch nonsense.

would be pretty damn difficult to get rid of it without ruining the plating of the units.
