Back Dove pickups

Hello to all.

Great bunch of folks in this forum!!

Has anyone tried Black Dove (BD) pickups?
I searched this forum for BD pickups and didn't get any hits.
What SD product would be the closest to the BD?
I'm assuming that they are some type of P90


A friend who works in our local music store tried them and thought they were quite good. The problem was that the guitar they are (stock) in was $1400.00 (Canadian)

The Fender Strat-o-sonics comes woth P-90s, they call them Black Doves. I'm pretty sure they are Fender-made.

I have no idea what they sound like.

I'm pretty sure there made by guild for use in fender products. their slightly more middy than a standard p90 (a 'hot' p90 if you will)
