Nice, looks like a good time.

What Matamps did you play, and what did you think of them?

That "Feline" (ooo..what a bad name for a business) Les Paul I liked till I saw the cutout :(

Those are Dean "ML"s Davey...I don't really know what it stands for either...anyone know?

BTW, that Korina V is all you bro. You should buy it :bigthumb:
yea i saw that i didnt take a pic of the explorer but the ML, couldnt be arsed to change it afterwards.

there's nothing wrong with the cutout. stop being a poseur ;)

if i had the money i would, but i'd make a few changes.. long scale & topmount floyd. i cant play stuff without a floyd nowadays, i keep grabbing the arm, but its not there lol

hmm.. ben played through the LX, but the dude demoed the 1224 mkII(LOTS and LOTS of options as to how you want it to sound. you can change the voicing, class a/ab, 1 2 3 or 4 tubes running etc etc etc, then the minimat, sweet little amp. the GT1 and LX
and all sounded amazing! the gt1 and lx were the most to my liking

Re: back from london geetar show

Well, I was there.
Arrived on the Friday just as an announcement went out on the tannoy saying it was now the quiet period. Yeah, right.
The worst offender was a 20-stone bald idiot in a black t-shirt trying to prove he had/was the biggest prick in the hall, right next to the guitar- and mike-stand stand. I was half-way further round the hall when I got offered the free ear-plugs. Why did Ozark have a stand in the main hall, you couldn't hear anything acoustic in there ?
The best and most interesting ( and most audible ) conversations could be had in the acoustic hall......ah, peace !
I won't mention the admittance or parking charges, I barely saved enough money to recoup my expenses by buying cheap branded string deals. Well, maybe a little more.

Re: back from london geetar show

I don't think loudness has anything to do with musical talent, and it was proved there and then.
I do understand that people on this forum are more interested in what things sound like than what they can play on them ( sometimes ).
PS. I am a boring old fart, I am so old I saw the Beatles play live - remember the Beatles, they were a band Paul MaCartny used to play in........... ? They were loud too, back in '63........

Re: back from london geetar show

LOL

well, i laughed at those kiddos playing the cheapos through MG15 marshalls... with headphones.
it was just funny as hell.

one of the stands (dont remember which one) had pods and amps and stuff built into a counter and then headphone outs, so that was pretty cool.

you could hear yourself when you played through a halfstack, when you sat in front of it, but once you stood up and were 2m away all you could hear was the high end, and thats what most annoying was. it wasnt the sheer loudness, it was the trebble of it all.

the quiet periods were ok i guess. its more for the sake of the exibitors than the atendees. they have to be there all day and believe me, at the end of the day your head is going to be like a baloon.
but i'd go again anyway. was realy cool
