Back in Iraq: A Tribute to...

Stevo

Tonus Maximus Pacificas
.. forum bro "Boonie Rat" and friends :)

I have been working on this tune all week. I wanted to create an instrumental that was agressive but melodic, melancholy but positive, and a bit loud :6: and ... of course... I hope it rocks :13:

Re: Back in Iraq: A Tribute to...

Thanks bro :) I used my plexi reissue with the mass attenuator on some parts, and I used the Plexitone pedal on some parts - with ACID drums and bass.
Les Paul with Seth Lover bridge pickup and Jazz neck pickup.

very nice track, dood!
I kinda wanted to hear u exhaust that beginning riff motivically, because it is sooo KILLA!

Re: Back in Iraq: A Tribute to...

Thanks Stevo! I just got a chance to hear it and for added "mood" there was a C17 (I am very close to the airstrip) taking off and two Blackhawks flying over head at the same time it finished up loading. Very nice!
Let me know if you want me to send it to the AFN Radio station here in Baghdad. They should play it, but I'll only send it over there if you want.

Absolutey man!

The Blackhawk ambience sounds like a great effect :D

Doods, thanks for listening :)

Simply put...awesome! A true tribute to all our soldiers around the globe and of course to our forum brothers among them!

No problem Steve, I will get it on CDR and send it over to them. I'll let you know if they play it. Should be a very cool thing.
And as for the Blackhawk back ground "music" that isn't any problem over here. Blackhawks, Apaches and Chinooks flying overhead 24/7. Add that to the C130s and Jet engine aircraft taking off about 300m from my window, I get plenty of background sounds. Add the motars and rockets they shoot at us along with the machinegun fire, it's kind of like a long drawn out version of the beginning to "One".
Anyway, great song! And thanks from all of us in advance for the time and effort. It means alot!
Merry Christmas everyone

Cool tune! Love the tone you've got.

Hat's off to Boonierat and his daughter! Hat's off to all our soldiers both past and present!

Liked it alot brother Steve! My other buddy Steve is over in Iraq and I'll send the clip over to him...Nice playing and tone as always!

The muted chord riffs reminds me of something EVH would do...
