Bad Cat HOT CAT

Played one at GC

I have played 2 combos thus far and NEVER liked them

Then this Hot Cat Custom 30/15 was at GC - hooked in, it had a matching 1x12 - HOLY HELL! This thing rocked and had a nice full low end, Great EL84 (not sure, but I rarely like 6v6's just based on blind hearing tests) saturation with a Marshall-y mojo. It also had a BEAUTIFUL just broken up clean that was almost Fender-y.

Any thoughts?

How do these compare to Matchless?

Re: Bad Cat HOT CAT

I've never played the Hot Cat Custom 30/15, but now you've got me interested since you didn't like the originals. I hated my Hot Cat 30, so I can't wait to hear more about this new model, sounds like Bad Cat finally got it right!

Re: Bad Cat HOT CAT

just how hot is a hot cat? anyone know of any good clips that show the range from clean to all out?

Re: Bad Cat HOT CAT

I've played that same 30/15 at GC, Sherman Oaks, and you're right....it's my favorite Bad Cat I've ever plugged into. I can only imagine what it'd sound like through a 4-12. Ever since GC Northridge opened, I haven't been to Sherman Oaks. It's cool that the Valley has 2 of them now. Sam Ash is in trouble!
