Bad CRL 5-way switch or bad wiring?

O.K. Here's the situation: I've had my Strat wired with the Eric Johnson style wiring (tone control on neck pickup, nothing on middle pickup, and tone control on bridge pickup) for about a year and I do like it. However, last week I put in a new (old Duncan single coil) bridge pickup. Now, my bridge tone control is only working intermittently, that is, when I jiggle the 5-way switch a bit. Quite strange.

Here's my question: Is this CRL switch bad (It's only about a year old) or did I mess up with my wiring/ soldering somehow?

Sometimes the little metal contacts become bent when I work on CRL switches. Open the guitar back up & inspect the contact & wiper when the switch is in the bridge position. See if there is a gap. You may have to bend the contact in, or crimp it or something.
