Bad tube

So def have a bad tube. My amp would sound hollow and fade when reverb was engaged. So I swapped tubes around. This time when rever was engaged, it became distorted. Can a tube in anothe v spot cause this? I'm using three of the five same tubes. Culprits could be nos ei yugo or jj ecc803. Hope it's not the ei. Really like tht tube. Fortunately just ordered a sovtek lps for pi and a penta for the v4 and v5 spots

I've always taken a known good 12AX7 and tried it in each position until the amp was back to normal. This is the method I used to determine that the reverb tube had crapped out in my JVM last year.
