Bag End S15D vs. D12D

Guitar Center has both cabinets used at different locations. I can have them ship to my local store if I want to buy one. Which would you recommend, and why?

I have always preferred 1x15 cabinets to 4x10 cabs. I have never played a 1x12 or 2x12 bass cabinet.

Amp is a GK 800RB. I play a PJ and a Jazz bass...Chicago and British blues, classic rock, maybe some 80's / 90's hard rock. Looking for a warm and full but not tubby sound on the blues / classic rock end, with ability to give more punch and grind for Rush to G'n'R.

I own the S15 and the S12. In my experience with them, the 12 has a more defined, immediate attack, but with a bit of a perceivable mid-hump associated with it. The 15 comes across as more even, frequency-wise, and (not surprisingly) brings a little bit more thump to the party. In general I like how they play together more than how one or the other sounds on its own. I'd be interested to hear how the D12 compares with either the S12 or the S15.

Yeah, me too. I wonder if the the 2x12 sounds significantly better than the 1x15. It's a lot larger and weighs 33 pounds more, so it would have to be an awfully big improvement to choose it over the S15D.
