Baja vs Am. Special Tele

Hi I'm buying a telecaster and my budget is like 1000$. I've been already looking at MIM Baja tele and American Special. They are both similar price range and I'm interested if there is any other model worth checking or if it's worth getting Am. Standard. Help please.

On your budget, I would seek out a pre-owned Fender American Standard, American Vintage Re-Issue or Deluxe American model.
