Band Practice recording

So, a few years ago got mylelf a Lexicon's Lambda. I never really used it since .... We are discussing recording our practice on occasion. PA -> Lambda -> PC. The goal is to have good instrument seperation, that's about it, its just for us to get a good understanding how arrangements are coming out in the mix .... What software packages would your recommend ? Ozone/Cakewalk ?

2 mic preamps
Phantom power
Independent mic and line controls with LEDs
Monitor mix and output level controls
2 balanced TRS line inputs and outputs

Seeming your just sending a stereo in really you could get away with nearly anything but Reaper seems to be a common one for the budget minded

It just comes recommoned for cheap I think its only 69 dont know how much Cakewalk/Sonar is but I've always prefered Pro Tools/Cubase/Logic but those tend to be more prosumer/pro software unless you get something with Pro Tools LE
