banner Beefy strat coil tap dilemma

I have a hot rails bridge and a cool rails neck thus far. Both intended with split to single coil option via a push pull volume.

I have planned to add a vintage rails to the middle position however I learned the coil tap won’t work, as it won’t pick up all 6 strings if split!

So could anyone either recommend a good alternative pick-up for the middle position to work with the hot and cool bridge and neck?

Alternatively I considered wiring the middle so it does not split when pot is pulled up. Could that work??

Thank you!

STK-S4 - Will sound like a single coil in humbucking mode, and effectively is a true single coil when split
Little '59 wired in parallel - will do a lower output strat-ish sound and can be split to true single coil (and you can always wire it as a humbucker later if you decide you want a beefier middle pickup)

But honestly, I think you would be best off just leaving the low output VR alone and only splitting the HR and CR. That's a great combo and should be a very versatile setup with the splits on the bridge and neck only, and will be slightly easier to wire up.

you cant really split three pups with a p/p pot as far as i know. a vr in the middle is cool and doesnt need to be split. did you want to split it for humcancelling when used with the neck or bridge?

I'd actually recommend the Hot & Cool Rails in parallel rather than split, as it sounds much better (and remains hum-cancelling) but you may need a switch for each pickup.
