These are the best! Retail is $130 but for my Forum Bros I've decided to sell a few for $85 if anyone would like one. Highly Recommended...I have one on my '54 Tele and the heavier thicker steel deepens the tone and improves the sustain and the Barden compensated Tele saddles are each individually angled and made for thier particular location so my guitar plays in tune better than it ever did with the StewMac type compensated saddles! Re: Barden Tele bridges....

Hey Lew; Maybe you could explain something to me. I've seen this style bridge before, and there doesn't appear to be string slots in the saddles. Do the strings just lay on top of the adjusting screws? Just seems odd to me.

Thanks;
Artie

Re: Barden Tele bridges....

I've got one of these Barden bridges on my custom Esquire. The strings lay on top of the saddle, but not on the adjusting screw. They're right next to the screws, but not on them.

Lew's right, too. My Esquire plays in tune all the way up!

Re: Barden Tele bridges....

Thanks for that info ALF. Its just hard to get past not having slots for the strings.

Re: Barden Tele bridges....

Hi Lew: Remember me? I have a question regarding the Barden bridge: Is it at all possible to adapt this Barden bridge to the American Standard Tele. What kind of nightmare are we looking at.

Re: Barden Tele bridges....

George, Lew doesn't post here anymore but still runs Lew's GUitars and still sells the Barden bridges, however yoiu can not put a Barden bridge on an AS Style tele without filling all the holes and drilling new holes or getting a completely different body...there is NO Ashtray style bridge that retrofits onto an AS Style tele body. There is one 3 style bridge you can get, Callaham makes it check it out at www.callahamguitars.com

Glendale makes them in several styles (magnetic or non magnetic; vintage, single or double notched; even a couple of leftys) to fit the American Standard Tele hole pattern. Glendale also makes compensated Tele saddles in various materials.
